There back bones or the spinal bones have 4 types: 8 cervical bones; 12 thoracic bones; 5 lumbar bones; and 5 sacral bones. These bones are the basic structure that holds the back. These are where spinal nerves exits and are responsible for sensory and motor functions. When the back aches, it can be localized through where the ache comes. It can be the neck part, the upper back, the lower back, or the tailbone. Pain can be of acute which never last long or chronic which stays for long period. There are pains that are felt in the back and can be described as dull, sharp, piercing, burning, or radiating. There are reasons and manifestations. Sometimes, the pain that is felt in the back is sign and symptom of several diseases. Hot and cold therapy is usually indicated coupled with muscle relaxants and NSAIDs or non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Posture training and physical exercises helps in the management. Whatever management, it is indicated that the cautious care of the back be utilized. If the back structure collapses, you will remain imagining being able to walk and stand once again.
